Ethiopia has been ranked as the worst country in Africa in terms of access to improved sanitation facilities, according to a report by the African Leaders for Nutrition (ALN).
In the ALN report, which was launched on Monday at the Sky Light Hotel in Addis Ababa, Chad and South Sudan performed better than Ethiopia in terms of providing access to sanitation facilities. About 10 percent of the population of South Sudan and Chad have access to quality sanitation facilities. Meanwhile, only 7 percent of Ethiopia’s population has access to improved sanitation facilities.
