Buffet de la Gare, located at the center of Addis Ababa, is an Italian restaurant built in the early 20th century. It is next to the Legehar train station (French: La Gare), which was the main railway station in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the terminal station of the meter-gauge Ethio-Djibouti Railway that connected Addis Ababa to the Port of Djibouti. The restaurant serves as a relic of the grand construction of the Djibouti-Addis Ababa railway. It is attached to a vintage guest house that retains an early 20th Century atmosphere which also envelopes the restaurant. In celebration of such a historical place, several artists gathered at the restaurant for a special art event.
